Night Always Comes (2025)

When the owner of the house in Portland Lynette (Vanessa Kirby) rents with her mother Doreen (Jennifer Jason Leigh) and brother Kenny (Zach Robon Gottsagen), who has Down syndrome, decides to put it up for sale, its up to Lynette to come up with $25,000 so they can buy it and stay. Mom had the down payment money until she impulsively spent it on a new car, so Lynette runs through all her contacts to see if anyone from her past cane help, including the people at her part time bread factory and bar waitressing jobs, a client from her third job as a sex worker, and her former roommate, Gloria (Julia Fox). Lynette once lent Gloria a hefty sum and decides to demand repayment since Gloria is now the well-kept mistress of local politician. But Gloria instead asks for another favor, she needs Lynette to watch her apartment because she’s expecting package. While there, Lynette finds a safe that she assumes is filled with valuables and decides to enlist one of the sketchy bar employees (Stephen James) to help her steal it. Things fall apart, of course, but at least we get to see Vanessa and Julia practically falling out of their bras as well. Night always comes and so will you!
