Sophie & Stephen (2020) is a sweet short film from Rob Perri about digital damages done to people's everyday lives. Two AI assistants try to manipulate their humans' love lives. This is a love story that takes place in a world where digital data can take over people's lives and attempt to override their true, human desires. Kate is a hand surgeon who has been dealing with people's damaged thumbs as a direct effect of their scrolling, so she thinks about AI a lot. She sees so many of these cases on a daily basis which is when she meets a musician named Daniel. Both of them have digital assistants, each named Sophie and Stephen. Kate and Daniel are both single people, but neither of them think they are a match upon first meeting. Their digital assistants disagree! Sophie and Stephen definitely think they are. Their assistants suggest they would be a match based on their collected data like common interests and personal details, despite what they think. The AI assistants now conspire to push the two of them toward each other no matter what which has both exciting and disastrous effects. But the best duo all comes from Sam Fox during a hot and heavy sex scene. Her Boobs & Butt are the real stars of this short!
